Skovånd can be your on-site Creative Director. We define project direction, specifications and can obtain and evaluate bids from our trusted network of local contractors. Throughout your project, we liaise with your local general contractor (it really is a small town after all) and ensure on-site clarity of design expectations with the talented craftspeople and installers. Together, we can commission custom furniture, lighting and millwork that’s unique as your lifestyle will be in the High Desert.
Skovånd's process is radial, not linear. We apply pressure from the periphery of an insight and draw inward, toward a central idea. Our clients seek to spark strong emotional connections to works we create together.
Our Danish name translates as “forest spirit” and our designs emphasize human’s implicit connection to nature and the rhythms in seasonality.

Jensie drives purposeful growth and consumer resonance with an ear for story, team dynamics, and ease of process that deliver vision into results. Over 20 years, she's held brand vision for DTC product lines, navigated post-pandemic volatility to successful M&A exits, and led cross-functional teams across product, design, and manufacturing. Her work has earned recognition from Sustainable Brands, Fast Company, and Vanity Fair. She’s formally trained in both design and business, but will be the first to tell you her best education came from her self-employed family, a 5,000 foot hike into and out of the Grand Canyon and getting up again and again endlessly stoked to be on her snowboard.
