Skovånd is a multi-disciplinary design studio.
We address color and material trend research, specification for styling and design of residential and commercial space, as well as on-product CMF and story strategy.
Skovånd's design process is radial, not linear. We apply pressure from the periphery of an insight or trend and draw inward, toward a central idea. Our clients seek to spark strong emotional connections with their products and places.
Our Danish name translates as “forest spirit” and our designs emphasize human’s implicit connection to nature and the rhythms in seasonality.
Clients and collaborators include Nike, IKEA, The Smithsonian, Better Homes and Gardens, Country Living, Decor8, Ointment Co., New York Magazine’s The Strategist.
With more than 20 years experience, Jensie has designed for IKEA, Nike and Better Homes and Gardens. Her projekts received accolades from Sustainable Brands, FastCompany and Vanity Fair. She’s formally trained in both design and business, but will be the first to tell you her best education came from her entrepreneurial family, a 5,000 foot hike into and out of the Grand Canyon and falling down again and again learning to snowboard.
